Hi, I'm Nichole Mango Smith and currently reside in Fairfax, VA, just outside Washington, DC; though I've only been here for 2 years, I actually grew up in the south. I am a freelance graphic designer and do work for several companies across the nation.
I have had intensive studies in the arts for the past 8 years. I finished my last two years of high school at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities where I focused in Visual Arts and was first introduced to the exciting field of Graphic Design. I then went to get my degree in Visual Communications at Winthrop University, which i finished in May 2006. Now I have decided to get my certification in Web Design and Development at Northern Virginia Community College and will finish that in the next year.
I currently do freelance work (almost full-time) for OnTap Magazine, designing all their in-house marketing materials, ads for each monthly issue, some editorial for each issue, and design and code their weekly / daily eblasts. I also do contract work every now and then for the Reason Foundation, located in Los Angeles, CA, designing promotional materials for their annual conferences.
I have designed for several years now and am always looking for new creative and networking opportunities. I am a people person, easy to work with, and will always get the job done on time, in a fast and proficient manner. Please feel free to explore this site and look at my work.
